Articulation Agreements

½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ is constantly working with our affiliated two-year colleges to update the 2+2 and 3+2 articulation agreements. While we continuously work to update agreements, we encourage you to contact the Office of Transfer Admission at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ and the 2+2 or 3+2 liaison at your college in order to ensure proper course selection and the most updated list of agreements.

Without proper course selection, we cannot guarantee that 2+2 and 3+2 arrangements can be completed successfully within the 2+2 and 3+2 framework.

If a 2+2 transfer agreement does not exist with your college, ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ will work with you to maximize the possibilities of your transfer credit into your major of interest at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ. Many of ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ’s transfer students do not enter under an articulation agreement.

Each year, students transfer into our Reh School of Business from schools across the country with great success. If a 2+2 transfer agreement does not exist with your college, ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ will work with you to maximize the possibilities of your transfer credit into your major of interest at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ. Students pursuing an A.S. in Business Administration are typically able to transfer to ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ with junior status. Many of ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ’s transfer students do not enter under an articulation agreement in the School of Business and graduate in two years. Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering and Applied Sciences 2+2/3+2 Agreements

2+2 Agreements

Engineering majors at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ include Aerospace, Chemical, Computer, Civil, Environmental, Engineering & Management, Electrical, Mechanical and Software. Students are encouraged to work with the 2+2 liaison at the two-year school and the Office of Transfer Admission at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ to ensure proper course selection. If an agreement does not exist with your school or major or interest, we are happy to work with you on course selection to help maximize your transferable credit to ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ. 

½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ has a long-standing transfer agreement with colleges belonging to the Two-Year Engineering Science Association (TYESA) in New York State. If your school offers an A.S. degree in Engineering Science, you may be able to transfer into Engineering at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ with junior status even if there is not a formal agreement below. If you have questions about your college, please contact us for proper advisement.  Engineering programs at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ included in the TYESA agreement include Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Engineering & Management, Electrical and Mechanical.

Each year, students transfer into the applied sciences programs from schools across the country with great success. If a 2+2 transfer agreement does not exist with your college, ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ will work with you to maximize the possibilities of your transfer credit into your major of interest at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ. Majors typically include Applied Mathematics & Statistics, Environmental Science & Sustainability, Mathematics and Physics.

3+2 Agreements

These agreements have been established with four-year liberal arts institutions. Students will complete three years of study at the liberal arts institution and two years of study at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ in a carefully planned engineering curriculum. Upon completion of studies at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ, participants will receive two bachelor’s degrees, one from ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ and one from the liberal arts institution.

Although it is the intention of this program and every effort will be made on the part of both institutions to follow the 3-2 format, certain situations, including selection of courses and engineering major, may necessitate the requirement of the student to spend either an additional semester(s) of study beyond two years at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ and/or overload the number of credits normally taken by an engineering student at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ for one or more semesters to meet the engineering degree requirements at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ.

While we continuously work to update agreements, 3-2 programs take careful course planning at both the liberal arts institution and ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ. We encourage you to contact the Office of Transfer Admission at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ in order to ensure proper course selection and the most updated list of agreements. It is important to contact the Office of Transfer Admission at ½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ, and the 3-2 Engineering Coordinator at the liberal arts institution, to indicate your interest in this program. Special advising will be required from the very first year of your studies. 

Interested students apply for the program during the fall or spring of their junior year.
